Karla Conway

Karla was Playmate of the Month for April 1966. Her pictorial was titled Malibu Beachnik.

Karla was born Karla Jo Musacchia on July 5, 1946, in Pasadena, CA. She was raised in Malibu and graduated from Canoga Park High School. An avid surfer, Karla was discovered by Playboy on the beach in Malibu in 1965.

Karla appeared as a dancer in the promo video for “Sea Cruise” by the Hondells.

Karla married poet Jon Woodjack and gave birth to son Aaron on Jan. 25, 1967, in London. She returned to California and acted in a small part in the car race movie “Fireball 500.” She also played Connie in the science fiction comedy “Space Thing.” She was pictured in Best for Men magazine in an October 1968 pictorial, Presenting Carla Conway Appearing in “Space Thing” and also appeared nude in a number of other men’s magazines. She posed for photo shoots with glamour photographer Ron Vogel.

She moved to Denver, and worked as a Bunny at the Playboy Club in Aspen. She also worked as a Bunny at Playboy Clubs in Denver, Jamaica and Los Angeles.

In 1968, she traveled with the Renaissance Pleasure Faire. In 1970, she moved to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, to help her father with his beachfront restaurant, then lived in Central America for several years. In 1978, she settled down in Hawaii.

Karla is now an artist and uses the name Sachi. Her artwork includes a sculpture of Hugh Hefner and paintings of rock stars.
