Michelle was Playmate of the Month for March 1968. Her pictorial was titled Beautiful in Any Language.
Michelle was born Roxanna Platt on Dec. 20, 1948, in Elmira, N.Y. She grew up in Las Vegas, Waikiki, Guadalajara and Los Angeles with a brother and a sister. Her father was killed in the Korean War.
Michelle first appeared in Playboy as “Roxanna” in the pictorial Playboy Charter Yacht Party, November 1967. Michelle told the Los Angeles Times that she decided to use her real name on an astrological whim.
According to “The Playmate Book: Five Decades of Centerfolds,” Michelle’s grandmother recommended her to Playboy photographers Bill and Mel Figge. She was a 19-year-old student attending Pasadena City College at the time of her Playmate pictorial.
“The Playmate Book” reports that she earned movie auditions and went on dates with actor Omar Sharif.
Michelle went on to become a physician and run a family practice in South Florida.
